i graduated lastnight from art school and my WHOLE FAMILY was there! that was the most loved and supported i have felt in my entire life. i got the loudest cheer out of anyone there (which was all my dreams come true! so easily pleased..........) and i also got three lots of flowers. and we went out for dinner to Malo and although the food took ages to come it was really wonderful and everyone left feeling full. i like it that they don't serve alcohol and that they have loads of wheat/meat free options.
so now i have my honours. what to do with it? apparently i am supposed to frame the certificate and putit on my studio wall. i don't think thats going to happen.
in conclusion: i am spoilt.

ps. if you want to see the product of my art school years come to the opening of my new show 'holy holy holy' on april 13th at 5.30. St pauls Cathedral next to parliment molesworth st, wellington.

Well my holiday such as it was is quickly reaching its vanishing point. Back to wet, windy Wellington after wonderful, warm waipu. (such a wealth of double yous!)I am at the super expensive airport computer place so this will be brief, but afterall there's nothing like an airport for making one feel efficient. Actually to make one feel grown up. Yes a real adult. I am a wandering with an hour up my sleeve. I have a small bouquet not tied with a ribbon of Asiatic lilies. They mask the pies and stress smell and I adore them. There's a place on ponsonby road where you can get a good size bunch (actually three smaller bunches that have slipped under one set of covers to become one) of these delights for the senses for six dollars. The ladies that work in there come from India but more recently (thirty years back, dear) they lived in kilbirnie. So we can talk about the time I lived there and oh! The buses in Wellington. How they came on time. But don't you find it cold dear? Yes, yes I do. However Auckland is ugly so farewell!
I have seen many wonders in the last two weeks not the least of which has been the hundertwasser toilets. I have brought a diary, no lists so far but appointments stretching out into the distance when I return. I have bought a thermometer and a whole bunch of ribbon and lace.
threes more but no time for it on this terminal. I am expecting to be very busy finishing the work for my upcoming show over the next few weeks so I don't want parties to go to or anything of the kind but I would dearly love to see you for a cup of tea and somekind of wheatfree biscuit. Do come around.......

people keep asking, asking, asking what i think, what they should do, WHAT ARE YOU DOING, do I really think that's a good idea, what do i believe about this, about that.... perhaps i should just direct them to this post.(That i partly stole from T Moore)
I would still like to know how things work. I'd like to know just who Jesus is and was. I'd like to know the Buhddas role in the nature of things and what Mohammed was inspired to create. I certainly would like to know what happens after death and if all these tragedies and conflicts in the world make some kinda sense.

I feel free to ignore some of the issues that worry many people. I don't have to have an opinion on the afterlife. If and when it is. Owning my uncertainty I can laugh in my ignorance and enjoy the comic nature of my puny attempts and efforts. Put it all down in writing, straighten out and match up my beliefs so there's no contradictions and I take away this delightful ignorance and there's no room left for faith, for magic and the humour that keeps me sane.

In other news: the capitals suburban practice fields have been inundated with sparkling hordes of brownish blackish largish thighs attached to shortish whitish rugby shorts. Oh my! Certainly makes for a more interesting bus ride to work.

Well a kissing tent.......certainly got kisses and that was what i wanted. So now I've no right to complain. How ever it did seem to lend less of a fun and more of a debauched filter to the party. But amongst suprise special guests, long lost friends arriving, ten tequilas and some fien michael jackson tunes it all worked out to be quite the super fabulous party indeed! I am goign away at the end of the week and I can't wait! Up to the warm lands with post one lovestories of how great wellington is. Friends I haven't seen for a while and swimming everyday. yum. I promise I will do my best not to fall in love with anyone while I am away. Well, maybe not promise..............I'm off to buy ribbons.
